Define the identifier format, start number, quantity and whether the sequence needs a prefix. Confirm whether numbers must also be encoded in a barcode or QR code. Check the marking area and readability on a sample.
Keep a record of issued identifiers, applied seals and the numbers checked at receipt. A seal can indicate interference, but the identification and inspection process also matters.
Include artwork, numbering rules, barcode type and any data format in your enquiry. Do not include confidential customer records in public artwork examples.
